MiBank provides Micro Enterprise loans for existing small businesses. Loan amounts for Micro Enterprise Loans are from K200 through to K15,000. Business Loans are provided for the expansion of existing businesses and these Loans range from K15,000 upwards. MiBank has provided loans for all types of business activities across the 13 provinces in which it is located. These include street vending businesses and trade stores through to bakeries, fishing and transport. Agribusinesses is included and MiBank has funded chicken farms and the growing of cash crops such as cocoa, copra, coffee and oil palm. MiBank has also entered into various Credit Guarantee Schemes with a number of local district administrations in order to promote and develop micro enterprises and provide access to finance in the districts with a particular emphasis on equal access to finance for women.
