Mr Tony Westaway, Chief Executive Officer

A seasoned banker and long-term resident of Papua New Guinea, Tony is also a Director and Honorary Fellow of the PNG Institute of Banking & Business Management (IBBM), a Director of the Centre for Excellence in Financial Inclusion (CEFI) and a member of the National Payments Council (NPC). Tony holds an MBA from Torrens University Australia and a Master of Leadership in Development Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany.

Peter Aitsi, Chairman

Peter Aitsi is a senior business executive who recently led Credit Corporation Limited as its Group CEO. Prior to joining Credit Corp, Peter was the Country Manager for Newcrest Mining. Peter is also a former President of the Media Council of PNG, founding President of the Badili Club, and previously Deputy Chair of City Mission. He is the current Chairman of Transparency International and media company PNGFM. He is also a Director of Steamships Limited.


Wavie Kendino, Director

Wavie joined the Board in 2019 and is the Head of Legal at ANZ Bank in PNG. Wavie holds a Masters of Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne and is highly experienced in banking and finance, corporate and commercial law. Whilst previously with Dentons as a Senior Associate, Wavie assisted in advising financial institutions, the PNG Government, the Central Bank, state owned enterprises, corporates and NGOs on a range of transactions, projects and matters.

 

Jason Mcilvena, Director

Jason is the General Manager and Company Secretary of Kwila Corporation. Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting, Law and Economics from Deakin University. Jason has had many years of experience in the Asia Pacific region including American Samoa, Fiji, Laos, New Zealand and the Solomon Islands. Jason is an FCPA and a member of the ANZIIF.

 

Paul Nindipa, Director

Paul is a Partner with the firm NKA Chartered Accountants. A past Treasurer of Transparency International, Paul holds a number of Board positions including Comrade Trustee Services limited and National Roads Authority. Paul is also a Council member of CPA Papua New Guinea and also member of both the PNG Institute of Directors and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Paul chairs the Audit & Risk Board Sub-Committee for MiBank.

Arthur Vera, Director

Arthur Vera is a technology and communications specialist having spent a period of 24 years with Datec across a number of Pacific Island nations. Arthur was also involved with the establishment of bemobile in the Solomon Islands, and more recently is associated with Asia Pacific Communications Specialists, providing IT services for corporate clients. Arthur has served on various Boards including MTSL, BOC PNG, Trukai Industries, Marsh Insurance, Origin Energy and SVS.
